About

The Well is a family-centered wellness and education company created to be a welcoming place for learning, preparation, and support. From birth and maternal care to educational resources for birth workers and healthcare professionals, we bring together practical knowledge and meaningful support to help people feel informed, prepared, and equipped for the journey ahead.

Our Story

The Well began with a shared vision between husband and wife, Brandi and Patrick Rushing—to create a place where people could come to be filled and leave better equipped to pour into others.

The name was inspired by John 4:13–14, when Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well and tells her:

“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

 — John 4:13–14

Those words became the heart behind The Well. A well is a place to draw from a place where something needed is received and carried with you. For us, it represents being filled spiritually while also gaining the knowledge, encouragement, and support that allow us to become vessels who pour into the lives of others.

Our Vision

Our vision is for The Well to become a trusted place where families and professionals can find education, support, and resources for every season of growth. We envision a community where mothers feel prepared and supported, birth workers and healthcare professionals are encouraged to continue learning, and meaningful education is made approachable and practical.

As The Well grows, we hope to expand beyond where we begin—developing new services, resources, and opportunities that support whole-person and family wellness. Above all, we want The Well to remain rooted in faith, service, and the belief that what we are given is meant to be poured into others.

Brandi Sharp Rushing

Brandi Sharp Rushing is a Certified Labor Doula and chiropractic student at Sherman College of Chiropractic who is passionate about maternal health, education, and supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She strives to create a space where mothers feel heard, prepared, and confident while providing the education and support they need to make informed choices throughout their journey. Brandi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Life University.

Brandi believes every mother deserves to feel heard, respected and supported regardless of what she envisions for her birth. She works with families from all backgrounds and supports a variety of birth preferences, from unmedicated births and epidurals to inductions, planned cesareans, and everything in between. Her approach is centered on education, preparation, and providing judgment-free support so mothers can better understand their options and feel confident using their voices throughout their care.

While Brandi is passionate about supporting all mothers, Black maternal health holds a special place in her work. She is committed to increasing education, preparation, and awareness while helping Black mothers feel heard, supported, and confident participating in conversations about their care.

Her chiropractic education has further shaped her interest in anatomy, physiology, movement, and whole-person wellness. Brandi enjoys taking complex information and making it approachable and practical for the families, birth workers, and healthcare professionals she serves. Through The Well, Brandi hopes to create a welcoming place where people can learn, grow, and be well—leaving more informed, supported, and equipped to pour into the lives of others.
